Activity Overview
Department of Civil Engineering, Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) is a private university accredited internationally by Indonesian Accreditation Board for Engineering Education (IABEE). The Department of Civil Engineering UII has the vision to produce an excellent and innovative academic community in applying knowledge and skills in civil engineering with a disaster perspective through an education system based on Islamic values and with a global reputation.
The Department of Civil Engineering UII will hold a Summer School Program, GeoAdventures: Discovering Geohazards and Mitigation Strategies, held on September 2nd, 2024, to September 6th, 2024. . The four-day study programs will benefit overseas, and Indonesian students coming to UII and have some exciting program activities related to the Geohazards and Mitigation Strategies.
During the implementation of summer school activities, participants will experience new knowledge, ideas, perspectives, and friendships between students from both countries. Short lectures will deliver inspiring talks, share real-world experiences, and offer valuable insights. Students will also experience hands-on laboratory session, designing mitigation plans, and field excursions to various locations with geohazard risks. In addition, students will take tours to learn about Indonesian culture.

Facilities
The Department of Civil Engineering UII will fully cover the accommodation and program fees. Some facilities that will be provided:

Five nights (six days) homestay during the stay in Yogyakarta. - Meals

All the expenses excluded above will not be covered.
Participants
This program targets six international undergraduate students and three undergraduate students from each domestic university.
Requirements
- Undergraduate student
- Commit to attending summer school from 08:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Domestic student: Applicant must fill out this form before 15 August 2024 (5 PM) and will be notified via email for further information on 21 August 2024.
