SOIL MECHANICS LABORATORY
Soil Mechanics Laboratory of Civil Engineering Department, Civil Engineering and Planning Faculty of UII was established in 1978 with relatively simple equipment . The main objective of this lab is built to support the academic activities , such as lab work and research in order to final student , faculty research , and community service.
Currently Soil Mechanics Laboratory has had adequate equipment , laboratory experts skilled and reliable , so in addition be used to support academic activities , also provide consulting / services, supervision, evaluation, soil Investigation. Also training , collaboration, and community service.
Soil Mechanics Laboratory consistently moving in the field , namely the completion of geotechnical problems by conducting soil investigation consisting of Field Testing , Laboratory Test , and Quality Control , and Laboratory Technicians conduct training , and Short Course.
Some projects that have been undertaken include UII Jogja International Hospital , Pesona Merapi Real Estate , Tower Pro XL , Airport Runway Widening Adisutjipto , and Landfill Project at PT Toba Pulp Lestari Tbk . Medan, North Sumatra , Ports in Cirebon , the final result of Result Analysis and Project Report.
STRUCTURE AND MECHANICAL ENGINEERING LABORATORY
Structure and Mechanical Engineering Laboratory, Civil Engineering Department, Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning UII was established in 1996. The laboratory tests used for a variety of structures with scale models or full scale. Experimental tests intended to determine the mechanical behavior due to static loads or dynamic loads on structures or structural elements made of reinforced concrete, steel, wood or other material covering the test pull / push, torsion, bending, and cyclic pushover.
Equipments are available in this laboratory to perform the tests mentioned above in order to understand the structure and behavior elements. Besides being used as a means for faculty and student research, and services in this laboratory research, and collaboration with outside institutions.
HIGHWAY LABORATORY
Highway Laboratory, Department, Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning UII established in 1984 with the main objective to support the academic activities such as lab for students, research and community service. When first established, the new lab can be used for practical activities.
Every year at the time of the preparation of the Civil Engineering Department program, always programmed addition of laboratory equipment. It also attempted to get the grant, so that the laboratory can follow Highway development of science and technology.
With current equipment, Laboratory Road in addition to serving practical activities for students, as well as serving the community in need of services in the field of materials testing laboratories way, both laboratory testing and field testing, and training related to pavement problems.
LABORATORY OF ENGINEERING CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS
Laboratory of Engineering Construction Materials, Civil Engineering Department, Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning UII was established in 1984. Currently this lab already has the proper equipment , laboratory skilled , and reliable experts , so in addition be used to support academic activities, has also provided consulting / services / supervision , evaluation , testing , and training aik to private and government agencies , among others : the concrete surface hardness testing by Hammer at Tower BTS Schmmidt PT . Indo Nusa Perkasa Mora area Central Java-Yogyakarta , Yogyakarta BTS tower , made of concrete mix design . Implement Core Drill Hall building projects Batik Yogyakarta , helping activities Assessment Organization Technical Consultation on Passenger Terminal UII Yogyakarta , Yogyakarta Archives Building and Arts and Crafts Market in Yogyakarta Concrete surface hardness testing and Inspection location and diameter of reinforcement with Profometer , implementing robust testing Urges Concrete Pull and Strong steel of development projects that are in Yogyakarta , etc.
HYDRAULIC LABORATORY
Hydraulics Laboratory of the Faculty of Civil Engineering Department of Civil Engineering and Planning UII was founded in 1995.Since then, it has been used for laboratory practicum and research faculty although still modest equipment. Laboratory development continues to this day with the addition of new equipment either, from their own funds or grants obtained.
With current equipment, Hydraulics Laboratory has been used by some faculty and students to conduct research for the final study. Research in the form of testing the behavior of water at rest (hydrostatic) and move (hydrodynamic) in a variety of characteristics, channel various style sluice, bending, and discharge gauges. In addition the laboratory is also used for community service and research collaboration activities such as irrigation planning, plumbing, drainage and other research activities related to water.
COMPUTATION LABORATORY
Computation Laboratory was established in 1988, This Laboratory is one unit that provides device support academic activities, in particular practicum Computer Programming course at that time. Along with the development of the capabilities and breadth of demands mastery of application programs in Civil Engineering, laboratory activities was expanded with the addition of services for courses / training programs operation of applications associated with civil engineering materials.
Currently, Computational Laboratory Civil Engineering Department FTSP UII has two (2) service area, with a capacity of: 1 (one) room is available 40 computer units and 1 (one) room for 20 units of computers with technical specifications which are always increased in accordance with the demands the performance of the applications are growing. In addition to practical activities, computing laboratories are also used for Community Service activities, and cooperation with both government and private.
SURVEYING & MAPPING LABORATORY
Surveying & Mapping Laboratory of Civil Engineering Department, Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning UII was established in 1978. Currently laboratory equipment is sufficient, so in addition to serving practical activities for students, laboratories also serve the community, both cooperation and community service requiring laboratory services in the areas of measurement and training related to the mapping problem. The works that have been implemented include: measuring plan Ring Road and the northern ring road bridge Langsa NAD Municipality, in cooperation with Pattern Data Consultants measuring complex construction plan Gymnasium Kulon Progo DIY, setting / measuring BTS Tower, Jalan measurement plan Bridges entered the village and Depo Pertamina Region Rewulu, measurements Housing plan in Semarang, etc.
TRANSPORTATION ENGINEERING LABORATORY
Transportation Engineering Laboratory of the original into one and the development of Highway Laboratory, Civil Engineering Department, Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning UII . In 2009 , after the support equipment , both hardware and software sufficient and able to stand itself, the Transportation Engineering Laboratory separated from the Highway Laboratory. Although still new, this laboratory is supported by experts and professional surveyors in the field of transportation systems.
Transportation laboratory in academic devoted to practical activities in the framework of the introduction, knowledge of the field survey and analysis of transport and traffic. To development framework directed at the areas of planning , design , management , monitoring , and evaluation of transport and traffic studies , as well as software training . Thus , in addition to serving the academic activities , as well cooperation activities and community service.
