Learning Outcomes of Civil Engineering Department, UII based on Curriculum 2009:
- Ability to be accountable and responsible in undertaking all civil engineering works trusted to him/her according to prevailing regulations and related principles of knowledge
- Ability to be responsible for oneself and for the society by nurturing the attitudes of tolerance, unselfishness, mutual respect, and mutual reinforcement in order to produce citizen realising his/her rights and responsibilities
- Ability to design civil engineering structures/systems/components properly by considering functional, safety, and efficiency requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively by means of writing and oral presentation
- Ability to utilize modern engineering tools and information technology for engineering profession practices, such as word processors, spread sheet, CAD, and related software
- Ability to utilize managerial skills and to adhere to professional ethics in undertaking civil engineering practices/projects
- Ability to apply knowledge of mathematics and basic (natural and/or material) sciences to acquire engineering principles in civil engineering field
- Ability to apply knowledge of engineering design and practices in civil engineering fields of specialization (structural engineering, transportation engineering, geotechnical engineering, water resources engineering, and/or construction management)
- Ability to identify, formulate, analyze, and solve civil engineering problem optimally
- Ability to apply relevant/supporting knowledge of contemporary issues to accomplish tasks under given circumstances
- Ability to function effectively as a part of a multidisciplinary and/or multicultural team work
- Ability to engage in multidimensional, creative, and innovative thinking as well as life-long learning.
